SUPRR's mission is to help strengthen the Ukrainian publishing sector so that it can deliver on the educational, academic, cultural needs of Ukrainians. We offer bridges between Ukrainian publishers and their counterparts in the international community.
SUPRR is forging links with publishing organisations that are supporting the goal of ensuring that a strong, modern and vibrant publishing ecosystem will flourish in Ukraine.
This initiative continues to galvanise assistance for Ukrainian publishing now and after the war. It is a firm Call to Action to build a strong transnational community of publishers working together to match needs with resources.

What we do
1. Run professional publishing industry panel discussions and professional development courses sharing knowledge and best practice
2. Arrange for presence of academic publishers at international book fairs
3. Support adaptation to EU standards
4. Conduct industry surveys and reports
5. Introduce access to trade body memberships, internships and mentoring
6. Assist with negotiations with foreign publishers
7. Make training materials available
8. Join forces with others to raise awareness of the needs of Ukrainian publishers at the international level.

In early 2026, SUPRR in collaboration with the Oxford Brookes University Centre for International Publishing and Journalism and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, conducted a five-day intensive capacity-building programme in Oxford, UK for 20 Ukrainian academic publishing leaders and policy makers.
